Susan Demers, Vice President –
Susan Demers has been a Pinellas County resident since 1971 and has had the happy opportunity to see the tremendous growth in our arts communities. An attorney by training she has counseled or served on the boards of a variety of arts organizations but has never worked with an organization in which she finds more common cause than West Coast Players. Over the years, Ms. Demers has acted in, directed, supplied technical support for, or written a wide variety of plays, many of them at West Coast Players. She spends her days (and nights and weekends!) as an administrator at St. Petersburg College.
Helen Crowley, Treasurer –
Helen is in her second term as Treasurer of WCP. She began her crazy theatrical journey in 1981 as a rookie co-director of a high school production of M*A*S*H in Southington, CT. She has been involved in all aspects of theater with many student and community theater productions. Helen retired from her career as a high school educator in Connecticut, having worked as a math teacher and assistant principal for 37 years, in 2014. She was blessed to relocate to the Tampa Bay area in December of 2014 and has produced, stage-managed acted, and house-managed in several local community theaters. She considers WCP her new theatrical home/playground. Helen is a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, where she volunteers in the funeral and youth ministries. She wishes you joy in your journeys!!
Rosalyn Savel, Secretary –
Rosalyn has been an active member of WCP since moving to Dunedin 19 years ago. Currently, she serves as Secretary of the Board and has served in that capacity on and off for many years. Rosalyn is WCP’s volunteer coordinator and also oversees concessions. She has performed on stage at West Coast Players as well as many other community theatres. Some of her favorite roles include Emma in Over the River and Through the Woods, Rayleen Browning in 45 Seconds From Broadway, and Glory in Almost, Maine. Rosalyn has also served on committees for the annual Gala and Volunteer Appreciation events.
Brad Brady, Member at Large –
Brad is a native of Baton Rouge, La (GEAUX TIGERS), but has been in the Clearwater area since 1989. He began acting in the 4th grade and hasn’t stopped since. With a Theatre Education degree from USF, he spent about 20 years teaching high school theatre at various schools in the Tampa area. He has served as chairperson for the District V Jr Thespians as well as the District IV Thespians. He served as webmaster for Florida Association for Theatre Education and is currently a board member of the Florida Theatre Conference. Brad’s first experience with WCP was way back with Lone Star (still the most fun he’s had on stage) and since then he’s been seen on this stage many times. All that theatre in his background and now he sells real estate, go figure!
